Morrison Awarded Player Of The Month

Ravel Morrison has been awarded the Championship player of the month, which has been a surprise to many given that he came to QPR in order to prove himself. This would be one of the final opportunities for Morrison to remain as a top-class player. After a stunning first half of the season at West Ham, his form has dropped significantly in the last few weeks. This has led to West Ham manager Sam Allardyce sending him a loan deal to QPR. He will remain at Loftus Road till the end of the season. He will be a major boost to the promotion hopes of the club.

Redknapp recently revealed that any hopes of getting promoted automatically are now over after the latest defeat against Blackburn Rovers, but Morrison will still have an important role to play in the play-offs. He has been given a significant boost after winning the player of the month award. Redknapp praised the player on hearing about this achievement. Contrary to rumours, he says that Morrison has been one of the best professionals within the squad and that his attitude has been fantastic as well.

Morrison has made nine appearances since joining QPR on the loan deal. He has already scored five goals for the club.
“Morrison is a real talent. He deserved the award for March. His goal and his performances have been top class. I couldn’t have asked for anything more from Ravel – he’s not been a minute’s problem. He is different class and I am delighted that we signed him,” said Redknapp. β€œIt’s been really good. I’ve enjoyed every game I’ve played in. I’ve just tried to get game time again and show them what I can do,” said the midfielder after receiving the award. Meanwhile, the manager of the month award has gone to Leicester boss Nigel Pearson.
