Isco might not have been getting that many playing opportunities under Santiago Solari, but the coach has denied that he has any issues with the player. According to Solari, he is pleased with the way Isco is going about his job in whatever opportunities he is getting and he sees him as somebody who is going to be very, very important for Madrid when they go through a transitional phase.
Ravel Morrison the midfielder of Lazio is being lined up at his current club to take move to Portugal with Vitoria Setubal. The information is true as it has been confirmed by the sources in the Lazio. Morrison, who is the former Manchester United player, is back at Lazio after having an excellent loan spell at Mexican club Atlas.
Manchester United man Jesse Lingard has been a real shining light at the ongoing 2018 World Cup. In the two games England have won, Lingard has been very instrumental. His goal against Panama – a brilliant 20-yard curler – showed class, and afterwards when he was subbed for Fabian Delph, the player was caught on camera juggling a rolled-up ball of socks which fans found sweet.
West Ham United’s Ravel Morrison is currently being investigated and has been going through a series of court cases after he was accused of threatening his ex-girlfriend on murder as well as her mother.
The 21 year old player of West Ham pledged not guilty to all of the charges that were launched at him and now a provisional trial date has been set to take place on January 26. The judge that is taking care of these series of cases is David Stockdale and he decided to bail Morrison on the condition that he does not have any type of contact with his ex-girlfriend or her mother.
Morrison has also been banned and cannot enter Greater Manchester except for the moments when he has to appear for the scheduled court dates or any official match of his club for West Ham United but after the match is played, he has to return to London immediately.
This is not the first time that the English midfielder has been faced with legal problems as he has already been arrested in the past as well as going to prison in some occasions previously.
Despite these continuing sequences of incidents and scheduled appointments in court, Morrison is allowed to train with his team of West Ham United and has already been featured for a few minutes in the Premier League as he made an appearance during West Ham’s match against Southampton by coming into the pitch as a substitute player.
Morrison began his career by performing in the youth academy of Manchester United before being signed by West Ham United at the age of 19 and a transfer fee that was never officially revealed to the public. Ever since Morrison joined West Ham, he has been released to a number of clubs including: Birmingham City and more recently Queens Park Rangers all on loan deals.
Udinese and Italian international striker Antonio Di Natale has revealed that he wants to break Roberto Baggio’s goal record in the Italian Serie A. Roberto Baggio is regarded as one of the greatest strikers to have represented Italian football. The former Juventus, AC Milan, and Inter Milan attacking midfielder scored 205 league goals, which is a record that still stands. However, Di Natale is close to equalling, if not surpassing the record. The 36-year-old has been a flag bearer for Udinese since moving to the club in 2004. He has made more than 300 league appearances.
His biggest achievement so far has been scoring close to 200 goals in the league. He remains only 12 short of Roberto Baggio’s record. Since this famous record is in sight, Di Natale says that he postponed his decision to announce his retirement from football. He would have not expected to come close to this record, but 17 league goals last season was a major factor. After having scored 15 goals in each of the last five seasons, Di Natale will be extremely confident of scoring another 15 in the coming campaign. This would be enough to create a record that many players would dream about.
His first priority for the coming campaign, though, will be to get the club back into European football.
“I am seven goals away from achieving 200. It would be even better, to equal the record of Roberto Baggio’s 205 goals. [Owner] Giampaolo Pozzo spurred me on and the good relationship with the fans and the city did the rest. The Colombian [Muriel] is not fully aware of his potential and must now prove to he is a phenomenon. There are so many strikers in the team and everyone can express themselves in different roles, the coach will choose the tactics that best suits our features,” said the striker.
Recently, a news report revealed that Ravel Morrison was invited to meet Mark Curtis (football agent) and was pressurized by Sam Allardyce (manager of West Ham) to accept the courteous offer of becoming Curtis’s client. The same report claimed that because of the pressure from Allardyce, Morrison had planned to leave the English football club- West Ham in summer. Morrison has become very disappointed with the club as well, suggested the report.
When Sam Allardyce got to know about the report, he denied it outright and said that Ravel Morrison had a bright future ahead of him with the West Ham club. Allardyce claims that no bitterness has cropped up between West Ham and Morrison in relation to the football agents. According to him, the representatives of Morrison might have made the allegations or rumors. But he is adamant about the fact that he did not sit beside Morrison and pressurize him into signing anything with any football agent.
Mark Curtis (agent) having links with Andy Carroll, James Tomkins, Sam Allardyce, Jack Collison, Adrian, Jussi Jaaskelanian, Nolan etc also dismissed the rumors related to Ravel Morrison as nonsense.
Currently, Morrison is playing on loan for Queens Park Rangers. On 22nd February, 2014 Ravel Morrison will play for QPR in a match against the Charlton Athletic because he has recovered from his groin injury. In the past, Sam Allardyce also mentioned that Morrison was not representing West Ham because of the groin injury only.
Ravel Morrison’s performance with West Ham has been extremely impressive and there was a high possibility that he would be a part of the World Cup 2014 squad that will be created by Roy Hodgson. But now it seems that Morrison will not get this ultimate chance.
Morrison’s contract with West Ham will expire next summer and he might not agree for an extension.
Ravel Morrison’s to be featured in England for the 2014 World Cup can become a reality according to Sam Allardyce. The 20 years old midfielder of West Ham has been in great form this season.
Morrison has been a regular starter for Allardyce in this season and in one of the few matches that he was sidelined, when arriving into the pitch he made a huge impact. He created 3 chances for his team to score and provided 1 amazing assist for Joe Cole’s goal against Fulham as he showed everyone why he should continue being placed into the starting lineup for his team.
His consistent line of fine performances have made Allardyce speak his mind about what he thinks Morrison’s situation is regarding him being placed into Roy Hodgson’s lineup of players for England.
Allardyce said: ‘It’s a long way between now and the World Cup squad being picked. He’s going to have to continue his improvement to be – or have any chance of being – considered for that squad of players going to the World Cup.
‘It’s a nice goal for him; I don’t think there is anything wrong with that dream. Without dreams you can’t be successful trying to achieve those dreams. He can make that dream a reality.
‘Not too many people reach their ultimate goal in life. When you have that chance, if you are dedicated enough in your time on and off the field then you can get there.’
West Ham currently are trying to keep their heads above water as they are barely surviving the bottom relegation zone of the Premier League but will have to continue adding points to maintain a safe distance away from the relegation.
They are hit with a few setbacks as Winston Reid, Stewart Downing, Alou Diarra and Ricardo Vaz Te all are out with injuries and won’t be able to play against West Ham United.
A number of man of the match performances and amazing goals scored by Ravel Morrison made him a promising figure for Manchester United and England but things took a turn when he was admitted with 2 counts of witness intimidation and a number of more charges which ultimately lead him to the end of his career with Manchester in January of last year.
Sam Allardyce says Sir Alex Ferguson told him Morrison was ‘a brilliant footballer’ who ‘needs to get away from Manchester and start a new life’.
A brilliant player but with discipline problems has tampered with the possibility of creating an international career and playing with England although recent performances with West Ham and statements from players are suggesting that he can indeed be added into England’s under 21 once more.
His brilliant solo goal against Tottenham last month, which saw him picking up the ball in midfield then dribbling past Spurs defenders before dinking in a finish, summed up how deadly and effective the combination of those qualities can be.
The West Ham man is also accumulating experience at a rapid rate. If he stays injury free and keeps his form up it may be the change he needs to be regarded as one of the most promising youngsters in the world.
Morrison played with Birmingham City on a loan deal and the coach spoke about what it was to have him in the team.
‘I didn’t go into it with my eyes closed,’ said Clark, ‘I knew there were issues there, some of Ravel’s own making and some not of his choice.
‘I gave him advice on a daily basis when I thought he wasn’t behaving in the right way. If you’re a talented footballer playing at the highest level all the rewards come with that, financial and performance wise.
The only thing stopping Morrison from being a legendary player is himself and he has nothing but time to accomplish that task.
Former Manchester United star Ravel Morrison has been facing a number of issues on and off the field. He was once spoken of as the next big thing from English football, but his impact has reduced in the last few years. He is currently with West Ham United, but he has spent the last few seasons on loan deals elsewhere after being unable to get first team action at Upton Park. The 20-year-old spent the last season at Birmingham city where he was one of the best players. It looks like he will return to the St Andrews on yet another loan spell.
Despite this, West Ham captain Kevin Nolan has said that he is confident that Morrison is set for great things in the future. Unlike in the past, Nolan says that Morrison is more matured and this is definitely showing in his game. He has praised the loan spell he had at Birmingham because it has really transformed him. Morrison was signed for around £ 1.5 million from Manchester United. It looked like West Ham had finally lost patience with the striker, but manager Sam Allardyce has been using him in the pre-season.
He has also impressed in pre-season with two goals against Sporting Lisbon in the 3-2 victory.
“He has grown up and I think he has come back with a renewed approach. I am going to help him as much as I can by talking to him on and off the pitch. Last year he started like that, but it was all the off-field stuff and his mental attitude to the game. He let himself down with not turning up and things like that. But speaking to (manager) Lee Clark at Birmingham, he said he really worked hard on him and towards the end had him on board. That’s what you got to have with Rav,” said Nolan.
Birmingham manager Lee Clarke has revealed that he is extremely interested in having Ravel Morrison in the squad for next season as well. The midfielder, who was on loan from West Ham last season, was one of the impressive players for Birmingham. The club managed to finish the Championship season in the mid-table positions, which was reasonable given the financial difficulties they have been facing in recent years. Clarke is now hoping that he is able to strike a deal with West Ham to keep Morrison for one more season on a loan deal.
West Ham manager Sam Allardyce may be interested in such a deal given that it may help him to develop Morrison even more. The former Manchester United man may not get regular first-team opportunities at Upton Park immediately. Hence, it makes sense to keep him out on loan for another season in the hope of building his experience. The midfielder made 30 appearances in all competitions and scored three goals as well. He has had a reputation for being hot headed, but Clarke managed him extremely well during his time at St Andrews.
The manager has revealed that he is looking at bringing in a couple of players on a permanent deal before the end of the transfer window. The club are likely to challenge for a play-off position this season.
“I have made it common knowledge that I would like to re-sign Ravel Morrison and Shane Ferguson. We have registered our interest in bringing those lads back so that’s a possibility. Ravel and Shane have both indicated to me that they would like to come back. The thing with Ravel is that, for a manager, he has been a challenge, without a shadow of a doubt. I am hoping that maybe I can get two more in, possibly three,” said Clarke.
